The Student Ministry at Cloud Springs is a lot like a road trip. The destination is not California or the Wild West, but a life that lives for Christ. The journey getting there is not just half the fun, but shows us what to do with what we have when we arrive. The road trip this year will still make stops at some of our old favorites like Summer Camp, Concerts, S.N.A.C. (Sunday Night After Church) and the Amazing Race. We will also make other stops on the road trip such as Disciple-NOW, the Super Bowl party, and a Winter Retreat that is going to rock! There are a few other old favorites and also a few more surprises that are going to stay surprises for now. I just want everyone to know that this is going to be an awesome year. We have many great things planned and if this year is like any other, there are probably some great things that aren’t planned—but that’s all part of the fun, right?
I would also like to emphasize the importance of being at every stop on the road trip. I don’t want any of our students to miss out on the wonderful things God is doing in our ministry. I want everyone to know that if you are carrying a heavy load, worn out, hurting, whatever the case may be, then come and ride with us. Everyone is welcome here and we are all committed to bearing one another’s burdens and living for Christ.
We have so much to look forward to this year at Cloud Springs Baptist! We are going to take everything in stride on our journey and be the best we can be for Christ. I would like to ask every student and parent to earnestly pray for Cloud Springs Student Ministry. We want to keep Christ the center of this ministry and see students grow in their relationship with Him. We know this is done through the power of prayer. If this road trip is like any other, it will be full of surprises, a wrong turn or two, but loads of fun memories that will last a lifetime. I just ask that you jump on the bus and join us. I can promise that it will be worth the ride!
