07 July 2009-First Full Day of Camp!!!
Today was an awesome day of camp! The kids went creeking (hiking up a creek), shot bb guns (not at one another), played warball, made jewelry, had great Bible study sessions and lots and lots of other fun stuff.
You may notice that I have removed the pics that were on this page. That is because I have started a gallery just for the kids which makes things a little simpler for me and I think the size and quality is better for you. You can see that gallery by going to www.csbcstudents.com/kid-gallery.html. Enjoy!
06 July 2009-We're Here!!!
We arrived at camp around 2:30 after a lengthy stop at McDonalds and a wrong turn by me. Of course, the kids didn't even know because they were talking so much, but we are here safely and ready for a great week!
You can also send a note to your child every morning. Send an email with your child's first and last name to pioneer@tvr.org. Notes sent via email are given out each morning.
03 July 2009-The Camp Packing List!!!
I want to apologize for getting this to you so late, but this is the basic packing list that the camp has sent me.
What to bring: Sleeping bag/bed linens and a pillow, towels and wachcloths, toiletries, Bible, pen & notebook, jacket (in case of cool evening or rain) plenty of clothing that can get messy, extra pair of shoes for water activiites, and western wear for rodeo night!
What not to bring: tobacco, guns, non-prescribed medications, immodest clothing or clothing with suggestive slogans, music players, magazines, weapons, and/or pets.
During the Week-I will try my best to blog about each day of camp. You can check this page (csbcstudents.com/kids) or our blog to see what your children have done and read about their day. I do want you to know that camp means early mornings and late nights, so I do not know exactly when I will update the blog, but I will do my best. You can check the blog now to see how I did it for Fuge Camp for our teens. Please email Mitch with any questions you may have. I am so excited about taking this trip and having a great week of camp. Please keep us in your prayers!
