We made it our goal in August of '08 to try to reach 51 kids within the next year. At the time, there were around 15 students coming on Wednesday nights. That meant if everyone just brought 3 friends to church and followed up with that friend we would reach our goal.

We're not asking that there be 51 kids at our church on a Wednesday night, but we do want 51 kids who we see everyday to know we care. We want them to know that Jesus loves them. Let's spread the word.

Why the aliens you ask?

Well, we are going to be different. We were called to be different. We even have something inside of us (the Holy Spirit) that prompts us to be different. When we live for Jesus, we may be looked at like some sort of alien. We should care less about the things in the world and be more focused on the bigger picture. That sounds a little like an alien to me.
